Hailing from the remote region of Tuva, these artists employ traditional throat singing\u2014a hallmark of their heritage\u2014while collaborating with some of the world\u2019s most prominent musicians and performing on stages across the globe. <\/p>\n<p>The group&#8217;s leader, Albert Kuvezin, has attained cult status in many musical circles. A co-founder of the legendary Huun-Huur-Tu, Kuvezin is a versatile guitarist, songwriter, and an expert in Tuvinian folklore. Paradoxically, he is also a passionate enthusiast of the raw, aggressive guitar sounds of punk rock and hardcore. <\/p>\n<p>Experiencing Yat-Kha live is nothing short of mystical. It is difficult to imagine a more perfect synthesis of Western avant-garde and contemporary sensibilities with the spiritual and lyrical depth of Eastern culture.
