This project is the brainchild of a twenty-five-year-old from Skała, near Krakow, who was hailed as the guitar revelation of 2019. Musically, it is a blend of infectious riffs and electronics; lyrically, it offers a bittersweet mix of observations regarding Waluś’s everyday life (and that of his peers). Despite the somewhat grey reality he describes, these observations are surprisingly colourful—a style the artist himself defines as “sung poetry on a firecracker.”
Though recorded under amateur conditions, the debut album by WaluśKraksaKryzys, titled MiłyMłodyCzłowiek, was recognised as one of the most intriguing releases of 2019. It resulted not only in a series of concerts but also a contract with Mystic Production. This April saw the release of his follow-up album, Atak, which—much like its predecessor—is full of references to the author’s turbulent past (with Adult Children of Alcoholics syndrome and substance abuse being just the start of a long list of events). To this day, the artist continues to perform under his moniker, keeping his real name a mystery.
