ABOUT
Stian Westerhus is a Norwegian guitar virtuoso, producer, and experimentalist. He is widely recognised for his work with numerous prestigious ensembles, most notably Jaga Jazzist, Ulver, and Puma. Westerhus possesses the fluid ability to navigate diverse genres and aesthetics while always maintaining his highly distinct, signature style.
In his solo explorations, he deconstructs jazz, noise, electronics, and ambient textures, though he is equally capable of composing dark, atmospheric songs rooted in the spirit of dark wave. His early discography was released via the cult label Rune Grammofon, with subsequent works appearing on House of Mythology and All Ice Records, among others. In 2023, he is set to release a new solo album, which he will undoubtedly showcase to the Lublin audience. A Westerhus performance is an extraordinary experience of sound—both in its raw power and its intricate, innovative processing.
