About
Different Sounds, Lublin’s flagship alternative music festival and a key part of the East of Culture initiative the East of Culture initiative consistently pushes the boundaries of genres and sound. Its dynamic programme features concerts by underground legends, exciting new discoveries from around the world, and a rich array of literary, film, and family events. Admission is free, and the festival is a collaborative effort coordinated by the City of Lublin and Workshops of Culture, in partnership with the National Centre for Culture.
The Reading Zone opens July 3–6 in the festival’s green heart, Błonia near the Castle.

Outdoor Library – Browse a handpicked selection of books, settle into a comfy deckchair, and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet.
Silent Reading Area – Put on headphones and tune into episodes of Dobre Strony and the National Centre for Culture’s “Cultural Broadcasts” for a focused listening experience.
Chill-out Zone – Relax in the shade, explore what NPRCz 2.0 is all about, and chat with us about books, culture, and creative ideas.
