Niemoc is an instrumental trio serving as a vivid, pulsing fusion of shoegaze, post-punk, and dance music. They ironically refer to themselves as “notorious debutants”—despite being together for seven years, they are still frequently labelled as “talented newcomers” by the music press.
Following a series of EPs during their formative years, the band released their debut full-length album, Baśnie (Fables), in April 2019. This was followed in October 2021 by their second record, Kilka najlepszych dni w życiu (A Few of the Best Days in Life). This release maintained the band’s signature sound—built on energetic guitar lines and dynamic synthesisers—while introducing vocal collaborations with Kacha Kowalczyk (Coals), Joanna Longić (Tęskno), Misia Furtak, and Michał Wiraszko (Muchy).
Ultimately, however, Niemoc is best known for their live performances, promising a truly extraordinary experience at this year’s Different Sounds. In Lublin, the trio will be joined on stage by special guests Misia Furtak and Michał Wiraszko.
