ABOUT

“Song of Eternity” is a unique artistic experiment that bridges the multicultural musical traditions of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and the Middle East.

This vocal-instrumental project is an attempt to find a universal musical language, crossing the boundaries between cultures and religions to reach back to the roots of Christianity. Works created across different eras and countries—both secular and sacred, and sung in various languages—are unified through instrumental improvisation to become a timeless message.

The voices of the KAIROS ensemble intertwine with the sounds of original instruments from around the globe (African and Arabic drums, flute, zurna, lyre, and the Arabic oud), creating a new quality rich with contemporary interpretations and associations. The voice of the outstanding Georgian soloist, Lekso Gremelashvili, completes the ensemble, adding fine ornamentation to the musical landscape.

At its core, “Song of Eternity” belongs to the world music genre, featuring elements of ethno and folk. The sound is enriched by a subtle play of lights, inviting the audience to participate in a unique mystery play—an artistic meeting ground for different cultures, worlds, religions, and nationalities.

Lekso Gremelashvili (vocals) – An exceptional singer and educator, specialist in Georgian polyphonic singing, and lecturer at the G. Mtacmindeli Higher School of Church Chant. He is a soloist with the Sakhioba ensemble.

KAIROS Male Vocal Ensemble (dir. Borys Somerschaf) – The only vocal group in Poland specializing in the oldest chants of the Eastern Churches, as well as traditional songs of the Caucasian peoples and national minorities of the Polish Commonwealth throughout the centuries.

Tadeusz Czechak (oud, lyre) – Guitarist, arranger, and lutenist. Founder of the early music ensemble DEKAMERON. He possesses a vast collection of historical and oriental instruments, often creating stylistic collages.

Michał Żak (flute, clarinet, zurna, duduk) – A student of the eminent Breton flautist Jean-Michel Veillon and member of the Prusinowski Trio. He composes for silent films and theater, working across world music, jazz, and fusion.

Wojciech Lubertowicz (frame drums) – Specialist in oriental percussion (daf, bendir, darabuka, tombak), having studied under the renowned Zohar Fresco. He is both a performer and a sound engineer.
