When we consider concepts such as “icon,” “legend,” or “cult figure” of the Polish music scene, the name Kazik Staszewski is inevitably among the first to be mentioned. This instinctive association is entirely accurate and well-deserved. Throughout his prolific career, Kazik has shaped the history of Polish music through seminal bands such as Kult, KNŻ, El Doopa, and Mazzoll & Arhythmic Perfection, always maintaining a path of consistency, awareness, and deep respect for his audience.
Widely regarded as the finest lyricist of his generation, Kazik will appear in Lublin alongside Kwartet ProForma. Their successful multi-year collaboration features a repertoire that spans the works of Stanisław Staszewski as well as original interpretations of songs by Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Kazimierz Grześkowiak, and Jacek Kaczmarski. For this performance, Kazik and ProForma will be joined by specially invited guests, ensuring that this concert stands as a definitive and powerful highlight of this year’s Polish lineup.
