The latest project from artists long associated with such seminal formations as Alameda, Innercity Ensemble, Ed Wood, and Stara Rzeka. As the musicians themselves explain regarding the genesis of Jantar, they were brought together by a shared love for the broad spectrum of Brazilian popular music and an unshakable conviction that Caetano Veloso’s “White Album” is superior to Metallica’s “Black Album” (a point the artists debated animatedly during shared meals at a hotel restaurant in Taboão da Serra, Brazil).
The fruit of these discussions and fascinations is indeed Jantar—the Portuguese word for “dinner.”

INSTANT CLASSIC

It is a festival tradition to host an extensive presentation of a unique record label known for its extraordinary roster. This year, the spotlight falls on Instant Classic, a label well-known to fans in search of adventurous sounds. Founded in 2011 by two friends and enthusiasts of ambitious music and the vinyl format, the label quickly amassed a substantial following.
The Instant Classic catalogue includes formations of great significance to the Polish alternative scene, such as Alameda 5, Innercity Ensemble, The Stubs, ARRM, BNNT, Lotto, THAW, and Dynasonic.
