“Between White and Black” – drawings by Daiva Kairevičiūtė | exhibition opening
About
The exhibition invites viewers to explore large-scale drawings depicting a field rich in allegory, where female figures create images filled with elements of drama, tragicomedy, and mystery. Line, color, light, and rhythms shaped by bodies work together to construct the choreography of the event. Through her drawings, the artist, using a negative technique, creates figures that embody both the aesthetically “divine” and the “chthonic-demonic” elements of the world, existing within the souls and minds of each character.
Daiva Kairevičiūtė (born 1971) is a graphic artist, painter, and photographer living and working in Vilnius. She is a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association and the Lithuanian Photographers’ Association. She actively participates in both national and international exhibitions.
