As the musicians describe themselves: “Colors. is a small-town collaboration (Puławy/Otwock), longing for the music of the turn of the millennium.” It must be said that there is a great deal of truth in that statement. On their debut album, released just moments ago by Antena Krzyku, one can hear the very best of what the global alternative scene had to offer at the turn of the century. Their sound encompasses post-punk and shoegaze, as well as echoes of the hardcore/punk scene.
For fans of Different Sounds, it is worth noting the presence of Dawid Ryski on drums—an artist whose poster exhibition was a highlight of the festival’s previous edition.
