An absolute legend of the Tricity Alternative Scene, Bielizna has been led since the 1980s by the brilliant lyricist and frontman Jarek „Doktor” Janiszewski. They are a truly one-of-a-kind, inimitable band that has cultivated a highly original style since their inception.
Their sound balances catchy guitar riffs and raw rock energy with complex, multi-layered compositions featuring “broken” rhythms and unconventional structures. When paired with their intelligent—and often grotesque or ironic—lyrics, the result is a band that defies simple genre stereotypes. The group returns to Lublin after a many-year absence, which will be a real treat for long-time followers, while younger fans will have the opportunity to see this cornerstone of Polish alternative music, perhaps for the very first time.
