RAT KRU is a Poznań-based musical duo formed in 2016 by Rat One and Lew Winogradzki. Their signature “techno-rap” sound draws heavy inspiration from the club music of the 1990s. The duo achieved widespread recognition in 2018 with their single “Hordo” and their distinct use of rat-themed imagery, which serves to underscore their underground roots. Since then, they have performed dozens of shows across the country, appearing at numerous prestigious festivals and showcase competitions for emerging talent.
The artists perform a daring balancing act on the edge of high art and kitsch, yet they never quite tip over. While Rat One delivers high-octane, energetic beats, Lew Winogradzki provides a vivid commentary on modern reality through his evocative and imaginative lyrics.

On 28 February 2020, the duo released their debut album, Rok Szczura (Year of the Rat), under the renowned Kayax label. The band is currently in the studio working on their second full-length record.
