ABOUT

The Ukrainian post-rock and post-punk scenes have been flourishing in recent years—a fact well-documented by the successful performances from these genres during previous editions of the Rise of Eastern Culture – Different Sounds festival. This year, the mantle is taken up by the Kyiv-based ensemble Way Station.
This instrumental outfit has been active since 2010 and has two studio albums to its credit: The Ships and The Way of Minstrel. Their trademark sound consists of expansive, multi-layered compositions that, when performed live, take on a phenomenal, trance-like quality and depth.
