Mazzoll & Arhythmic Perfection | POL
ABOUT
A legendary ensemble formed in the early 1990s, Arhythmic Perfection is deeply rooted in the so-called Yass scene. As a socio-cultural phenomenon, Yass had two strategic strongholds on the map of Poland: the Tricity (Gdańsk/Sopot/Gdynia) and Bydgoszcz. It was in Bydgoszcz, within the community centered around the famous Mózg club, that the group crystallised—driven by a spirit of experimentation, improvisation, and artistic freedom.
Even their debut album, the iconic a, quickly entered the canon of Polish improvised music. Another milestone in the group’s history was the material recorded with Kazik Staszewski, titled Rozmowy s catem. Between these releases, Arhythmic Perfection recorded Out Out to Lunch—a title that serves as a nod to Eric Dolphy’s celebrated avant-garde masterpiece. It is primarily the compositions from this record, which have never before been performed live in their entirety, that we will experience in Lublin at the Different Sounds Festival.
