STAUBGOLD
Founded in 1998 by musician and journalist Markus Detmer, Staubgold is a German label dedicated to electronic and experimental music from Germany and across the globe. Initially established in Cologne, the label eventually moved to Berlin before settling in its current home in Perpignan, France.
Today, Staubgold is a premier brand within the European independent music scene. Its roster features, or has featured, some of the most prominent figures in the avant-garde, including Jaki Liebezeit (the legendary drummer of Can), Faust, Kammerflimmer Kollektief, The Flying Lizards, Klangwart, and Family Fodder.
The label’s core philosophy, “Music out of Place,” resonates perfectly with the mission of the Different Sounds Art’n’Music Festival.
In addition to the live performances, the Staubgold showcase will feature artist talks, an exhibition, and a dedicated promotional stall.
