Rimbaud | POL
ABOUT
Three preeminent figures of the Polish alternative scene have converged in a collaborative project to process and redefine the works of the legendary poet Arthur Rimbaud for themselves—and, by extension, for their audience.
Each participant in the Rimbaud project is essentially a “man-institution” within the Polish music landscape. Their collective performance represents a perfect fusion of their distinct talents and capabilities: featuring the ethereal electronics of Jacaszek, the extraordinary voice of Budzyński, and the daring saxophone passages of Trzaska. It is difficult to imagine a more potent essence of what defines the contemporary Polish avant-garde. As the creators themselves describe it: “The Rimbaud project is a musical response to the French poet’s works, provoking the artists to seek sonic equivalents for boundless spaces, intimate whispers, obsessive repetitions, and the destructive crashing of ocean waves.”
